Discharge Instruction Sets

The Discharge Instruction Sets page is where individual Discharge Instructions are grouped together into sets.

 

Once a Discharge Instruction Set is created, it can be attached to a Preference Card. Discharge Instruction Sets that are attached to a preference card will automatically fill the Discharge Instructions BLOC 125.

The column Last Changed By will display the username of the person who last edited and saved the affected Discharge Instruction Set. The Last Changed Date column will display the date on which this last change occurred.

 

Discharge Instruction Sets are configured in eChart in Admin Home.

 

Add a Discharge Instruction Set

• Tap "Add Discharge Instruction Set" on the main Discharge Instruction Sets page. The Add Discharge Instruction page will load.



• Enter a name for the Discharge Instruction Set in the "Set Name" field.
• Tap "Add Discharge Instruction..." to add a Discharge Instruction to the set. A flyout will appear.



• You can search for the Discharge Instruction to be added using the type ahead search field, or you can visually look in the list that populated the flyout allowing you to multi-select and add multiple instructions at one time. Check the box(es) next to the desired Discharge Instruction(s) and tap Save. The Discharge Instruction(s) will be added to the Set.
• The order of the Discharge Instructions can be rearranged using the up and down arrows.
• An Instruction can be removed by tapping the trashcan icon to the right of the Instruction Title.

 

Edit a Discharge Instruction Set

• Tap on the Discharge Instruction Set Name. The Edit Discharge Instruction Set screen will load.
• Individual Discharge Instructions can be added, removed, or rearranged using the same techniques as when a Set is created. Note - the Set Name cannot be changed.
• Tap the Save button once the edits are complete.

 

Delete a Discharge Instruction Set

• On the main Discharge Instruction Set page, tap the Delete icon to the right of the Discharge Instruction Set Name to delete it.
• A flyout will open prompting the user to confirm the deletion. If the Discharge Instruction Set is attached to a preference card, the flyout will list the Cards that contain the Set.
